Kearny hadn't done well against Madison recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Komets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Warhawks. This was a revenge game for the Komets: when they faced off against the Warhawks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

While Kearny might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Madison scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Kearny's offense was headlined by Aliyah Bouriyaphon and Lilly Spollen, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Tanya Bri Pasigpasigan and her 13 assists. Bouriyaphon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

The win made it two in a row for Kearny and bumps their season record up to 5-19. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Kearny didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Morse on the 9th. Madison has also already played their next contest (against Clairemont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
