Basketball Game Preview: Duchesne Cardinals vs. Hastings Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Duchesne and eight for Hastings.

Duchesne is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Pius X on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Duchesne was outmatched by Pius X and fell 74-44. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-21.

Meanwhile, Hastings was beaten by Waverly 54-18 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Vikings are ranked 13th).

Duchesne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Hastings, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
