Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orange Lutheran). They claimed a resounding 63-23 win over the JSerra Catholic Lions. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lancers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Orange Lutheran was led to victory by Ezrah Brown and Sean Morris Jr. Brown threw for 368 yards and three TDs on perfect 17-for-17 passing, while Morris Jr gained 148 total yards and two touchdowns. Chris Flores Jr also helped out as he racked up 114 receiving yards.

Orange Lutheran didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited JSerra Catholic to a completion percentage of just 41.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from seven players: Marcus Fakatou, Chauncey Washington II, Josh Paquette, Samuel Tejan, Hunter Schnakenberg, James Tuia, and Anthony McClure, who each logged one passes deflected. Orange Lutheran wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 85.7%.

Orange Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tuia and Washington II. Tuia got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the defeat, JSerra Catholic had strong showings from Gino Wang, who rushed for 59 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and Dylan Brown, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score. Wang really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.

With the victory, Orange Lutheran broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for JSerra Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
