Soccer Game Preview: Spotsylvania vs. Eastern View

The Spotsylvania Knights will head out to square off against the Eastern View Cyclones at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Spotsylvania is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Spotsylvania had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Caroline on Tuesday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Cavaliers. Given Spotsylvania's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Caroline are ranked 268th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Eastern View and King George finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Eastern View's draw gives them a new season record of 4-5-3. As for Spotsylvania, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1.
