Reed waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bingham Miners a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since May 8, 2024.

Reed saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breanna Staats, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Elana Torres also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Reed's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Bingham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Reed has already played their next match, an 11-3 defeat against Carson on the 22nd. As for Bingham, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-3 draw against Tournament Opponent on the 21st.
