Ayden Bedi made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Jack Rose looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Christ's Church Academy's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).
Back at the plate, Christ's Church Academy let Brady Watson and Kaleb Robor run wild. Watson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Robor got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Watson has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Parker Swartz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Hilliard suffered their closest defeat since February 21st on Saturday. They fell just short of Charlton County by a score of 9-7.
Braden Bentley was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bentley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Bentley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Cooper, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Anthony Musgrove also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Christ's Church Academy, their record is now 9-7.
Hilliard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Christ's Church Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. It's a different story for Hilliard, though, as they've only averaged .318. Will they be able to contain Christ's Church Academy's hitters?
Everything went Christ's Church Academy's way against Hilliard in their previous matchup back in February, as Christ's Church Academy made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christ's Church Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
