Baseball Game Preview: Evansville Blue Devils vs. Jefferson Eagles

Evansville is 1-9 against Jefferson since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. Evansville has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clinton hit Evansville with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils fell 12-7 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Delavan-Darien by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 8, 2024.
