Baseball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Isle of Wight Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Isle of Wight Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Isle of Wight Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Norfolk Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Isle of Wight Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arcadia at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st. As for Norfolk Academy, they will face off against St. Christopher's at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
