Plainfield North barely beat Naperville North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Tigers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Plainfield North's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Naperville North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Plainfield North will venture away from home to take on Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Naperville North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
