Softball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. Ridgedale Rockets

Perry is 0-6 against Ridgedale since May of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Commodores will welcome the Rockets at 5:30 p.m. Perry has given up an average of 21.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Perry came up short against Continental on Thursday, falling 27-1.

Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kierra Woods, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Woods has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Meanwhile, Ridgedale didn't have quite enough to beat Ridgemont on Thursday and fell 5-4.

Riley Delaney was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ridgedale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Perry has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ridgedale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
