Basketball Recap: Smithville Seminoles vs. Wheeler Eagles

Smithville and Wheeler squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Smithville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wheeler Eagles, falling 54-28. If the Seminoles were looking for revenge after losing 48-28 to them when the teams met back in November of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Smithville still got an impressive performance from Mikayla Wall, who posted 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Wall has become a key player for Smithville: the team is 14-6 when she posts at least three steals, but 2-6 otherwise.
