Maconaquah had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Oak Hill Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Braves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maconaquah had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-19.

Coming up, Maconaquah will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Peru at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oak Hill, they will head out to challenge Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
