Baseball Recap: Mattamuskeet Comes Up Short

Mattamuskeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Ocracoke Dolphins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on Tuesday.

Mattamuskeet saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Etheridge, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mattamuskeet's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Ocracoke, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

As of now, neither Mattamuskeet nor the Dolphins have any future games scheduled.
