Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short

Flowing Wells was the 10-9 winner over Buena when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Caballeros took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Yesenia Solano was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bianca Gallego, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Flowing Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Buena, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Colts beat Flowing Wells by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.
