Basketball Recap: West Shamokin Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Marion Center came into Monday's match looking for another win against West Shamokin, but Jacob Allen wouldn't allow it. The West Shamokin Wolves took down the Marion Center Stingers 77-58 on Monday thanks in part to Allen, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of West Shamokin's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Olinger, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Marion Center lost, don't look at Kamden Rozier. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 19 on his way to 23 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Rozier is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Ian Kutsch, who posted ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.

West Shamokin is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Marion Center, they moved to 6-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

West Shamokin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-31 win against Penns Manor on the 28th. Marion Center has also already played their next match, a 71-61 victory against River Valley on the 28th.
