Oklahoma's Kobe Blackmon wasn't satisfied with a touchdown-saving tackle. He decided to score one instead.

Kids these days. With all their athletic heroes on cable TV and the Internet 24-7, it's no wonder they emulate professional athletes so clearly.

Take for instance sixth-grade defensive back Kobe Blackmon, from Oklahoma. In this keen video, he's chasing down a lad headed for a sure touchdown. The old-school approach would be to make sure you bring the ball carrier down short of the goal line.

Forget that noise.

The new approach is just go get the dang ball. That's what Blackmon did — not only chasing down the running back, but also ripping the ball away.

But that wasn't good enough for little Kobe. If you're going to prevent a touchdown, might as well score one. Watch this gritty, athletic kid who is just three years away from roaming the high school field.

If he's as savvy and fast as he looks here, we predict he'll be playing varsity ball sooner rather than later.
