Volleyball Recap: Bear River Bears vs. Mountain Crest Mustangs

Bear River lost to Mountain Crest back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2.

Bear River wouldn't go down easily and took Mountain Crest into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 16-25, 24-26, 15-7.

Bear River's offense was headlined by Jason Ashby and Hayden Woolley, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Tyler Christensen and his 31 assists. Finally, Woolley was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Bear River has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Mountain Crest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.
