            Softball Recap: Albany Cougars vs. Campolindo Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Albany's game  last Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-1 margin over Campolindo. The result was nothing new for Albany, who have now won five matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 Tehya Hancock made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out ten batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Those  ten  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lauren Jones, who  scored three  runs and  stole five bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Those  five  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Anya Fox was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
Albany's record is now 5-6. As for Campolindo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Looking ahead, Albany will square off against Marin Catholic at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Campolindo, they will challenge Swett at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three games.
