Game recap: Sunrise Mountain High School Football Team bests Greenway

After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by Garrett Weissinger in the first quarter, Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, Ariz.) was up 42-14 at the half.

Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 28 at the start of the fourth.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 46-19 win for the Mustangs.

The defeat comes as a step back for Greenway, which notched a 30-23 victory over Cactus in its previous outing.

In a III Section I game next week Greenway (3-3) takes on Independence, and Sunrise Mountain (3-3) will go up against Goldwater also in a III Section I game.
