Basketball Recap: Seguin Takes a Loss

Seguin lost against Cleburne back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seguin Cougars had to suffer through a 64-28 loss at the hands of the Cleburne Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 298th).

Seguin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Cleburne, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Seguin Cougars duke it out with the Mansfield Summit Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cleburne will take on Centennial in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
