Basketball Recap: Pima Piles Up the Points Against Chandler Prep

Pima had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by the Chandler Prep Titans to the tune of 46-16. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Pima's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Page Ashby, who posted eight points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Ashby a new career-high in rebounds. Macy Allred was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Pima pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points per game. As for Chandler Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Pima wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-6 win against Arete Prep on the 13th. Chandler Prep has also already played their next contest, a 95-10 defeat against Miami on the 13th.
