La Mirada hadn't done well against Mayfair recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Matadores' defense stepped up to hand the Monsoons a 7-0 shutout. The Matadores were shut out 33-0 the last time they took on the Monsoons, so the Matadores were just returning the favor.
