Preview: Pierce County Bears vs. Windsor Forest Knights
Pierce County is 3-0 against Windsor Forest since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pierce County Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Windsor Forest Knights at 7:00 p.m. Pierce County will be strutting in after a win while Windsor Forest will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Pierce County came out on top against Toombs County by a score of 17-14 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Caden Mcgatha went supernova for Pierce County, rushing for 223 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Windsor Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Appling County 61-0. While losing is never fun, Windsor Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Appling County is ranked 71st).
Pierce County has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in six of their first seven contests, giving them a 6-1 record. Windsor Forest has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost six of their first eight contests, which leaves them at a 2-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Pierce County against Windsor Forest in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 49-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pierce County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
