Soccer Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield fought the good fight in their overtime match against Union on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Winfield have lost by just one goal.

Dylan Galmiche and Jackson Stokes scored all three of Winfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Winfield is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Union, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Winfield will square off against Canton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union, they will take on St. Francis Borgia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
