Soccer Recap: Buchanan Finishes Even with Clovis North

On Tuesday, neither the Buchanan Bears nor the Clovis North Broncos could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Bears had to tread lightly for part of the game as Tyson Powell and Isaac Klaasen were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Buchanan's goal came courtesy of Jeremiah Hernandez, who's now up to six this season.

With that draw, Buchanan's record moves to 13-1-4. As for Clovis North, they moved theirs to 10-1-3.

Buchanan and Clovis North should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Buchanan (ranked 32nd) will meet Clovis East (ranked 496th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Buchanan's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Clovis North's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Clovis North will take on Clovis West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday up 102 places (13 vs. 115).
