Apopka had a senior duo take command as Jahi Bowden went 8 for 13 en route to 16 points and six steals and Jermichael Johnson went 8 of 15 on his way to 17 points and seven boards. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Bowden. Jude Angervil was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
University's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Apopka, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
