Softball Game Preview: Sabine Pass Sharks vs. Big Sandy Wildcats

The Sabine Pass Sharks will face off against the Big Sandy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Sabine Pass and three for Big Sandy.

Sabine Pass is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Evadale on Friday, falling 18-1.

Amayai Castille made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. That hit was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Big Sandy took on Danbury on Friday. Big Sandy lost 17-4 to Danbury. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Skyler Wick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Big Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Sabine Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Sabine Pass skirted past Big Sandy 8-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Will Sabine Pass repeat their success, or does Big Sandy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
