Basketball Recap: Suffield Comes Up Short

Suffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Rockville Rams and fell 78-36. The Wildcats lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 68-63 score last time.

Rockville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darek Albert out in front who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Thomas Bannon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Suffield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rockville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Suffield will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Windsor Locks at 6:45 p.m. on January 20th. As for Rockville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-36 win against Somers on the 14th.
