Basketball Recap: Sam Houston Takes a Loss

Sam Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lamar Vikings, falling 59-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Texans of the 50-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Sam Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Lamar, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Sam Houston will take on Grand Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamar, they will challenge Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
