Softball Recap: Bridges Prep Has No Trouble Against Whale Branch

Bridges Prep's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Whale Branch Warriors 25-10. The win continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Amelia Howell was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallorie Brown, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Bridges Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .882. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .667 that Whale Branch posted.

The victory got Bridges Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Whale Branch, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Bridges Prep is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whale Branch, they will face off against Lowcountry Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
