Basketball Game Preview: Sonoraville Phoenix vs. Ringgold Tigers

The Sonoraville Phoenix will square off against the Ringgold Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Sonoraville needed a bit of extra time to put away Rockmart. They secured a 66-62 W over the Yellowjackets. The victory was some much needed relief for the Phoenix as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ringgold posted their closest win since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They skirted past Murray County 61-58. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ringgold's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for Sonoraville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Sonoraville was able to grind out a solid win over Ringgold in their previous meeting back in January, winning 51-43. Will Sonoraville repeat their success, or does Ringgold have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
