Basketball Game Preview: New Haven Bulldogs vs. Huntington North Vikings

Two dominant guards in Tarvar Baskerville and Ethan Zahn are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The New Haven Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Huntington North Vikings at 2:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, New Haven came up short against Columbia City and fell 65-57. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Huntington North hadn't done well against Carroll recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Huntington North came out on top in a nail-biter against Carroll, sneaking past 50-47.

New Haven better keep an eye on Zahn. He was instrumental in Huntington North's win, putting up 15 points along with six assists and four steals. Dalton Husband was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory got Huntington North back to even at 8-8. As for New Haven, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-9.

New Haven strolled past Huntington North when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 49-33. Will New Haven repeat their success, or does Huntington North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
