Basketball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Newport Christian + How To Watch

Avalon had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newport Christian Seahawks. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Seahawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Looking ahead, Avalon will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lancers' defense better be ready for this one: the Griffins have averaged an impressive 60.8 points per game this season. As for Newport Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-49 win against Crossroads Christian on the 2nd.
