Recap: Union Cougars vs. Uintah Utes
The Union Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 44-27 bruising from Uintah. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Union in their matchups with Uintah: they've now lost five in a row.
Uintah had a senior duo take command as Mackenzie White scored 11 points along with six assists and Zoey Glenn scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Gilroy, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Uintah, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.
Union will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Uintah will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
