Basketball Game Preview: Capuchino Mustangs vs. Terra Nova Tigers

The Capuchino Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Terra Nova Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Capuchino is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Piedmont on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Capuchino had to suffer through a 91-44 loss at the hands of Piedmont. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Terra Nova took on Marin Academy on Saturday. Terra Nova narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Marin Academy 60-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Terra Nova's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Capuchino, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.

Capuchino opened the new year with a less-than-successful 76-67 loss to Terra Nova. Thankfully for Capuchino, Jared Milch (who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 16 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
