Basketball Recap: Donivan Schreckhise's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meadville over St. Paul Lutheran

On Monday, the Meadville Eagles came up short against the St. Paul Lutheran Saints and fell 55-43. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meadville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donivan Schreckhise, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Quentyn Smith, who put up nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Meadville and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Meadville will take on South Shelby in a tournament on January 6, 2025. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will host Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
