It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Lake Balboa College Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 62-53 win over the Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Warriors. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lake Balboa College Prep was led to victory by ASHOT ABRAMYAN and ARMEN BOURSALIAN. ABRAMYAN posted 23 points, while BOURSALIAN put up 21 points. The dominant performance gave ABRAMYAN a new career-high in points. MICHAEL DAVTIAN was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lake Balboa College Prep's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Magnolia Science Academy Reseda, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
