Volleyball Recap: Rangely Comes Up Short

Rangely was the 3-1 winner over Cedaredge when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Bruins on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Rangely ultimately came up short, they really made Cedaredge work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 18-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Rangely saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isabella Cox had nine digs and three aces. Cox has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Rangely's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Cedaredge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Rangely has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against De Beque on the 1st. As for Cedaredge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Olathe on the 28th.
