Football Game Recap: St. Mary's vs. West Bend-Mallard

If West Bend-Mallard were expecting to get some payback for the 6-44 loss against St. Mary's the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. West Bend-Mallard fell just short of St. Mary's by a score of 34-36. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.

The defeat dropped West Bend-Mallard's record to 4-3. The win bumped St. Mary's' record up to 5-2.

West Bend-Mallard will look to defend their home turf next week against River Valley at 7:00 PM. As for St. Mary's, they will face off against Newell-Fonda. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, St. Mary's and Newell-Fonda will really light up the scoreboard.
