Basketball Recap: La Jolla Country Day Comes Up Short

La Jolla Country Day was the 59-48 winner over Francis Parker when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The La Jolla Country Day Torreys took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Francis Parker Lancers on Friday.

Francis Parker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tavid Johnson, who went 8-for-19 en route to 24 points and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Francis Parker's points. Amon Andrews was another key player, going 8-for-12 on his way to 22 points and five boards.

La Jolla Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Francis Parker, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-10.

As of now, neither La Jolla Country Day nor Francis Parker have any future games scheduled.
