Basketball Recap: Meir's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

Meir won the last time they faced Heritage Christian and things went their way on Monday too. Meir walked away with an 88-77 victory over the Heritage Christian Patriots. Given Meir's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Heritage Christian is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eddie Riebe, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Porter, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Meir and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Heritage Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Meir didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-72 victory against Milwaukee School of Languages on the 22nd. Heritage Christian has also already played their next game, a 56-41 win against Kenosha Christian Life on the 23rd.
