Recap: Libby Loggers vs. Polson Pirates

The Libby Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Polson. Libby has struggled against Polson recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Polson found their leader in underclassman Rylee Taylor-jefferson, who scored nine points along with two steals. Taylor-jefferson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Julia Barnard was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Libby's loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Polson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Libby on the road again on Thursday and play against Bigfork at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Bigfork knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Libby likes a good challenge. As for Polson, they will head out on the road to challenge Browning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
