Volleyball Recap: Mary Henley Sims and Charlize Maldonado Secure Win for Johns Creek

Johns Creek can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Dawson County Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Gladiators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Johns Creek was led to victory by Charlize Maldonado and Mary Henley Sims. Maldonado had nine digs and two assists, while Sims had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sims has posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Johns Creek back to even at 4-4. As for Dawson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Johns Creek has already played their next contest (against Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Dawson County, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against North Gwinnett on the 23rd.
