Kalama won against Fort Vancouver last Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Kalama blew past Fort Vancouver 11-2. The Chinooks' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Delaney Rinard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brookelyn Waddle, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Colbie Manninen was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Kalama was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Kalama's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Vancouver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3-1.

Coming up, Kalama will venture away from home to challenge Rochester at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kalama's pitchers better be ready for this one: Rochester has averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Fort Vancouver, they will take on Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
