Basketball Recap: Columbia River Piles Up the Points Against Hockinson

Columbia River came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 90-57 win over the Hockinson Hawks. Given the Rapids' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Hawks are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbia River's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Hockinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Columbia River will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. Columbia River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Woodland likes a good challenge. As for Hockinson, they are taking a road trip to face off against WF West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
