Basketball Recap: Edinburg's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Edinburg extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Axel Navarro. The Edinburg Bobcats claimed a resounding 69-41 win over Harvest Christian thanks in part to Navarro, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Champion, who posted ten points. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Edinburg pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Harvest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Edinburg Bobcats duke it out with the Economedes Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edinburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Harvest Christian, they will head out to take on South Texas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Texas Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.6 points per game this season.
