             Madison County won the last time they faced Columbia, and things went their way  on Friday too. The Madison County Cowboys secured  an  18-13 W over the Columbia Tigers. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cowboys.
 Madison County can attribute much of their success to  Jason Mcdaniel, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Mcdaniel has posted since back in November of 2023.
 Madison County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Detrez Lamar and  Sean Williams. Madison County got some further help from  De'Andre Arnold: he picked up  a  sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
 Despite the loss, Columbia still got an impressive performance from   Zamarion Jones, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown.
 Madison County's win was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Madison County will be playing at home against Bay  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Columbia, they will face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Columbia's defense has only allowed 14.5  points per game  this season, so Trinity Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
