Dora has gone 6-1 against Fultondale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dora Bulldogs will head out to take on the Fultondale Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Dora has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Things were looking good for Dora after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against West Morgan, falling 16-6.

Ashton Skalnik made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Grayson Stephenson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Fultondale entered their tilt with Midfield on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Jaiden Palmer, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Fultondale's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Wayne Nelson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Fultondale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Dora has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Fultondale's victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Dora came out on top in a nail-biter against Fultondale when the teams last played back in April of 2022, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dora since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
