Softball Recap: Pike County Central Takes a Loss

Pike County Central suffered their closest defeat since April 8th on Monday. They fell just short of the Shelby Valley Wildcats by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 back in April.

Pike County Central's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Shelby Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike County Central will challenge Paintsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelby Valley, they will welcome Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
