Softball Recap: Leon Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Leon was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 13-1 to the Marianna Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 last Monday.

Lawsyn Adams made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Leon's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Marianna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leon will challenge Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 13.6 runs per game this season. As for Marianna, they will take on Mosley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dolphins have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
